Soho House Shorts X Campari
Earlier this year Soho House Shorts returned in partnership with Campari. Their filmmaking competition; write a short film focused on the elements of life that transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Each five-minute film was to be based around the initial concept of two people meeting in a Soho House bar.
A shortlist of 12 applicants was whittled down to three talented finalists, chosen from more than 400 submissions by members across the UK, Europe and Asia. From the shortlist, our judging panel chose three finalists. This panel was made up of some of the most esteemed writers, directors and film industry experts, including Andrew Haigh, Guneet Monga, Fred Tsui, Andrea De Sica, Deborah Faraone Mennella, David Dorrell, Susy Laude, Mireille van Helm, Aneil Karia and Nicky Bentham, alongside Campari’s global director, Cristina Ferro. Each finalist was given €15,000 to bring their film to life, alongside a trip to the Cannes Film Festival. Guests gathered to celebrate the three filmmakers in the Campari Lounge inside the Palais des Festivals hear a Q&A with the finalists and Soho House’s Group Film & Entertainment Director, Jo Addy.
